If there’s one thing about the Filipino hip hop scene that I appreciate, it’s their appreciation of classic hip hop semantics. They seem to single-handedly be holding down the b-boy role, and as far as the Bay Area and hip hop are concerned, they run things. Rey Resurreccion reminds me of Bambu, which is to say he can spit well and has that cultivated swag that doesn’t make you want to hurl. It’s good to see that this style of rap is alive, even if it takes a sole demographic to keep it so.
Check this out, cool blog bout the homie!
