Having roots which sprouted in San Diego, California then transplanted to Doylestown, Pennsylvania, quickly ascending MC, Sammy G has once again found himself in the sun-drenched Golden State, ready to bring his lyrical fire to the masses. With so many traversals across the country, it becomes increasingly tricky to to categorize Sammy. However, that’s kind of the point.

Melding the rhythmic wit of Slug with the ferocious chops of Eminem, the versatile MC is hoping to reinvigorate the raw and unadulterated lyricism in hip-hop, hearkening back to an age where it was truly the illest wordsmiths who acquired rap royalty. Sammy G’s gravelly, yet poignant, delivery reflects a seemingly infinite array of topics, from the subversive “Theremin”(actually produced on the legendary synthesizer of the same name) to the rough-and-tumble “D-Town S***”.

Now recording for Los Angeles-based label Lionstarr, Sammy G is currently fine-tuning his forthcoming EP titled No Direction, which shall be supplemented by a roster of producers including Takstar, Avalanche, Rolo and DJ Tru, whose varying musical styles greatly complement the versatility Sammy’s unique breed of hip-hop exudes.

On the cusp of graduating from UCLA with a degree in Spanish, deep reflections of academia consistently swim through Sammy G’s dexterous wordplay, perhaps spelling the end for low attention-span “Ringtone Rap.” Dumb rappers need teaching and when No Direction drops, class is in session.

Sammy G’s live show is a further testament to his charismatic lyrical prowess. Already having rocked stages throughout Los Angeles, Sammy G is without a doubt a rising force in hip-hop, and is available to bless events, festivals, clubs, birthday parties, Bar/Bat Mitzvah and beyond.
