Montreal/NYC funky electro duo Chromeo have been busy these past few years pushing the Fancy Footwork album, touring, and remixing radio epics. They’ve found enough time and creative energy lately to compose an original track titled Night by Night. The track is palatable, it’s a little too fluffy or lighthearted for my personal taste. Which is why I found the remix by minimalist DJ Skream to be fundamental in this singles success in marketing Chromeo. Hopefully if they keep touring (finished west coast tour over summer) and randomly dropping original tracks, then they should find a plethora of market share in the ever increasingly significant electro consumer base. As long as they get that remix by Skream to accompany it.
