J. Cole Wireless Freestyle [Video]

Is it just me or does it seem there is a major festival every weekend in Europe this summer? J. Cole lays down a “new” freestyle for the British accents yesterday at Wireless 2012. The Roc Nation product is riding high off last year’s successful album Cole World: The Sideline Story, which reached #1 on Billboard Charts and moved over 200K units the first week. The most recent single “Work Out” has been steady blasting on car radio’s on my commute here in LA, and reached #3 on the Billboard Rap Chart this past month. He’s a polarizing artist (peep YouTube comments) but his commitment to clean rhymes like these have 2.3 million people following him on Twitter.

Bars, Production and Murder by J. Cole

New hot shit from the flag bearer for Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, J. Cole. The kid sounds like Jay-Z, kinda, but at the end of the day, but he isn’t from NYC, so it’s not the typical jockin. Jay-Z may have this kid under his wing now, and get all the credit for his soon to be blown up status, don’t forget the Philly connection; J. Cole was featured on Young Chris’ song “Still the Hottest” earlier this year, Google that.

Think of this kid like a Wiz Khalifa, with Jay-Z backing him, and without all the ganja smoke.
