El Da Sensei is a hip hop artifact. He’s been spitting on wax since the early 90’s after plying his trade as a graffiti artist in Brick City, or Newark, New Jersey. Having teamed up with Tame One as one half of The Artifacts, the duo found an admirable amount of success in the mid 90’s. As is the case with may group acts, differences between the two emcees led to the cessation of The Artifacts shortly after their second album. Both emcees have remained busy in the underground scene, Tame One just cut a record with Del the Funky Homosapien which we touched on a few months ago. Not to be outdone, El has just digitally released this EP, and it’s pretty money.
Only 5 tracks deep, it’s a cute little EP. The title tracks are more than listenable, and in the end this EP does its job, it spurs you to look up El Da Sensei in the future, just like any good artifact.
