Repackaging old school rap is usually left to those that were there for those that listened. The one thing that I appreciate about young Bay Area up and comer Rey Resurreccion is his ability to refurbish old school sound with neoteric lyrical content. It’s easy to pitch the “Old School” or “Back In The Day” concept to older consumers, but it takes a dedicated young talent to make that listenable to a new generation. No doubt Rey has taken upon himself to revive the beast. Check out his brand new 6 track album for free.
